We love drones. We love what they can do and are keenly aware of how they can best be be used and frankly, we also know their limitations.

When you work with OKCDPV, you can be sure that our goal is to use our tools to achieve your vision and objectives.

We are experienced aerial cinematographers but our most important assets are our imagination and experience. Our objective is to shoot the highest quality still photos or video that you need for your marketing communications or other needs...to insure every frame we shoot has not only high production values but tells the story you want to tell.

Mike Petty, the owner of OKCDPV, uses his 30+ years of experience as a former army aviator, brand marketer and producer of hundreds of television commercials and brand promotion films (dozens of which used aerial cinematography) to plan and execute your aerial photography and video needs.

That said we also understand the need for the right tool, this right way, for the right job. We use our drones safely, responsibly and legally on behalf of our clients.  Read on below...

Safety and Equipment

We are committed to the safe operation of our aircraft. We follow all FAA guidelines and rules without exception and have ironclad safety procedures.

OKCDPV uses exclusively DJI aircraft. Their reliability, camera options and performance are the reason that DJI is the world's leading multi-copter manufacturer. But the actual aircraft is only part of the system. The most important component, we believe, is the camera. That’s what counts in aerial cinematography…flying the drone, and the skills to get cinematic footage and stills, is important... but the real objective is to capture quality photos and moving images.

Our primary aircraft Is the Inspire 2 and more importantly the X5S camera. This is a workhorse drone used all over the world for cinematic aerial productions. The X5S Camera is capable of up to 5K raw images and feature film quality video.

Our back up aircraft is the Inspire 2’s predecessor, the Inspire 1. Great drone, professional image quality. We list it as asset because we believe strongly in redundancy. Systems fail, glitches happen. So we are always prepared to finish the job.

Another of our aircraft is the Mavic Pro. It may look like a bit of a toy but its a powerful and reliable platform. Though certainly not the camera quality  of the Inspire 2, it shoots truly excellent images and can be in the air in a heartbeat. It also allows us pricing flexibility for clients on limited budgets.

In addition to our fleet of Drones we have a complete range of conventional still and video cameras and support equipment to provide both air and ground based production capabilities.
